I have just test-driven a new Versa hatchback and really liked it. The dealer is offering me a retail price of $14,200, that is, with the power package included. Is this a reasonable offer? Or can I bargain even more?

sounds good, got my V for 14800 not including TAX and the gold package for their warranty, and the plates and registration. I think thats a good price though.

http://www.nissanusa.com/versa/ <--- Nissan USA's official Versa website. You can "build your own" here to show you what the retail price of various configurations are.

You didn't tell us the transmission, or what other options/accessories are with it,... you also didn't tell whether it's a 2008, or a leftover 2007.

If it's a 2008, it has to have some other accessories with the power package. The cheapest combination I've found is with the power package, cruise, and splash guards. $15,245 MSRP, assuming an automatic transmission. $14,445 MSRP if it's a manual.

Please note... there's not much profit on these, so if they're asking $14.2k AFTER destination charge, it's a great deal if it's an automatic, and an OK deal if it's a manual.
