Our Saturday lunch stop will be at Outpost Pavilion in Tellico Plains, TN. They need advance notice for a group as large as ours. There are 4 food vendors to choose from - Crab Trap (seafood), Ragin' River BBQ, Let's Roll (sandwiches) & Pavilion Pizza. Visit http://www.outpostpaviliontellico.com for more information. By August 26, we will be asking you for your choice of food so we can provide Outpost Pavilion an estimate of patrons.

The raffle drawings will be for:
1. Mishimoto Hose Kit - 350z
2. Motul RBF600 Brake Fluid and Redline Motor Oil
3. R2C Intake

Tickets will be sold on site only and must be present to win.

I can't advise on what will be available for lodging. But on our end, food will be limited because it will be based on how many register, they are obviously guaranteed a meal. If we have extra you can register on site. The T Shirts will also be limited and those that pre register will get one. If there are left overs they will be for sale. Showing up un registered is just not a wise decision if you plan to eat or take part in the festivities. Everyone has plenty of time to register and registration is still open right now. Online Registration will cease 8.26.2012.

I'm in... :dblthumb:
Things are finally coming together enough that I think I can commit to making a reservation and that's done.
My check list of things to bring, so far, Maker's Mark and a under-sized sombrero ??? I can't remember why  , but I'll start looking.

Really looking forward to this.

For anybody interested I figured I'd share my (and a few others) plans for Sunday after the group picture. Once we're done at the dam we're going to head to Deals Gap for lunch at The Dragons Den since it will be ~1. This will be a good chance to see how much the tree of shame has grown, buy another t shirt/sticker/etc, check out Killboy's new observation deck, and watch Dragon traffic while we eat..

http://www.dealsgap.com/restaurant.htm

From there I want to stop at "Fugitive" Dam for a couple pictures..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheoah_Dam

After that its driving time and the destination is Wayah Road (thanks Chris). We'll have 27 miles on 129, 30 miles on Wayah Road, and then 21 miles on 28. Two of these roads are well established driving roads and the remaining one is a much lesser known gem. Much of this will be through the Nantahala National Forrest so the views should match the driving..

Depending on the time and weather we're either going to go to Cherokee NC (reservation) to sight see/hit the casino..

http://www.westernncattractions.com/att ... herres.htm

http://www.harrahscherokee.com/casinos/ ... ome.shtml?

or head to Bryson City NC for dinner first and then do the other. Once again depending on the weather heres a couple places I checked out..

The last link is an old school drive in so I thought that was cool. After all that it would just be a cruise back to the resort but heres a link to the map..

Anybody is welcome to join since its all about having a good time.

Cool deal. I'm leaving tomorrow after work, driving straight through. 18 hours for me though!

It's just shy of 11hrs if I would go straight through. Props on 18hrs after a full shift. You'll open the hatch of the juke and empty red bull cans spill everywhere. I know that's the only way I could do that.

Thats great news man.

We'll be on the road early tomorrow as well. Did Skyline Drive last year so we're looking forward to carving up the Blue Ridge Parkway from Waynesboro to Roanoke this time around. All in all it should be around 12 hours of driving tomorrow. I've got that Christmas Eve feeling haha.

I've got way too much to do to make it and lack of money for gas.

Headed over to Pigeon Forge yesterday to have dinner with Justin (VQpwrdSE-R) and his wife at the Smoky Mountain Brewery and fill up a growler. Even though it's towards the end of the tourist season there traffic on the parkway was still kind of packed. Made great until then.

Was planning on coming down on Friday (today!) and spend the day but I think I'll just leave super early Saturday and meet some folks and cruise back home in the evening - kinda nice to live so close. :)

Saw you guys at Fontana on Friday and Saturday nights. I would have stopped by, but figured I'd get laughed out of town with just a Versa! Glad you had fun - we did, too.

A HUGE THANK YOU goes to Mike, Gidget and gang for all the hard work and effort put into making this event happen. Had a great time and looking forward to an even larger group next year. If I can help more next year getting things done then let me know.

Great job!
