It's a 2007. It's not annoying, just weird and it doesn't come every time I hit the brakes. Anyway, what is resetting the computer for?nametakennow wrote:How old is the car? Sounds like something a warranty should take care of for you.
Doubt it's a computer issue, but simply unhooking the battery overnight should reset the computer.
Don't mention that to the delaer when you take it in - they will just point to the following section in the owner's manual.MNSpecV wrote:My 2008 Spec V does something similar. Every time I switch the air flow selection knob from "foot/defrost" to anything, it actually turns on the A/C.
I don't think resetting the computer will fix that - sounds like a wiring problem. Did you have any work done on your car that would not be considered normal maintenance? Any additions - radio, spoiler, lights - something that required electrical work?Iotreble wrote:Hello, my air conditioner control lights go crazy sometimes, for example the defroster light comes on when I brake . Will resetting the computer fix this? And if not, what does it do?
Thanks.
Sad thing is I did RTFM. Maybe I should get my eyes checked. Thanks for the knowledge, and it is much better to hear it here in a faceless setting... than to have the mechanic give me that look. SIGH.Supercourse wrote:

And don't forget that it is recommended to run your A/C anyway, once a month, for 10 minutes, to keep the seals in good shape.Might be hard to do in MN. in the depth of winter - but could save an A/C problem down the road.
The car had some electrical work done but I can't reclaim because I bought it used. As I said before, it's not annoying, just thought it could be repaired easilyFaja wrote:
