Hello, my name is Eric and I hail from Indianapolis, IN. Last winter I was looking for a new car and I stumbled upon a craigslist ad for a "1987 280Z" :gotme . Naturally, I was a bit confused, but I decided to investigate anyway. I was (slightly) disappointed when the owner opened the garage and it was a 300zx and not a 280, but I thought "I can work with this." The water pump that was on it was totally fuxxor'd, so I had to replace that before I could even drive it home. The digital dash doesn't work, so I'm planning to put together a custom dash setup instead. The digital dash is pretty cool, but I would prefer something a bit more, erm, reliable. Plus, whenever I drive it in the daytime, the glare off of the plastic is more than I would want. I acquired a set of wheels off of an '89 Chrysler Conquest, which I think look pretty darn good on the z31. A complete overhaul of the car is in order, but it will be worth it in the end. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I only paid $400 for the car itself.

A couple of pictures after I brought it home.

...and with the "new" wheels.

I also forgot to mention the car had been sitting for 4+ years. That's why I said I "rescued" it.
