Reputable place in Cali to rebuild KA24DE??

I've read a million threads on rebuilding the KA24DE, but I don't want to do it myself, can anyone recommened a good shop in california that will rebuild and perhaps port and polish a KA24de? Thanks.

Where exactly do you live? My friends dad is a Master Nissan Mechanic, but hes pretty busy, so if you don't take it to his work, it'll take a while to get it done, but when it is done, it'll be in real good shape.

I live in Stockton, where exactly is Apple Valley? I'm up north but have family in Santa Monica, so I can take bring the car to virtually any shop in california. I just need to know who is the best, and who is knowledgable enough to know what I need.

If you could, next time you see your friend, ask him if he could have his dad give a ball-park figure on what it would cost for a rebuild. I have another car, so I'm not too worried about time.

PS. Anyone else know of any good shops? There has to be a plethora down south.

whoa there! lol.. stockton is a short drive from me, about 7 hours, lol. and santa monica is about 2 hours west of me, so you might want to try to find another good place to take the car.

Ah, too bad. Well, if your friend's dad knows of any places closer to Santa Monica, let me know. A two hour drive is possible, but I would of course prefer some place closer.

BTW did your dad's friend rebuild your engine before you went forced induction?

MS Performance is in the San Diego Area. 619-441-3717. He built Mike Kojima's Project Z Motor. He would probably charge a pretty penny for his work though, but from the articles I've read, it sounds like he really pays a lot of attention to detail.
