I have a code P1140 on my 2001 Pathfinder. I was able to remove the wiring harness and the bolt on the sensor but was not able to pull the sensor out to test it. Do I just need to pull harder on it (didn't want to break it) or is there something else holding it in? Thanks for the help.

plug it back in and rotate it side to side while pulling on the connector, having it plugged in gives you a better grip on it. also you may want to read up a bit on what your fixing, there are a few good informative threads in this forum on that code.sometimes its not the sensor thats the failure.

Thanks. I'll try that this evening. I did read all your posts on this trouble code. Very good information! With all that I learned from the posts, I felt a little dumb that I couldn't get the sensor out. Now I know!

Ok, that worked. It came right out. Now I also have a P1111 which according to the Hayes manual is the soleniod on the passenger side. Guess I'll figure out how to remove it too.
