Mine's broken. I don't know how such a simple clock breaks, but it happened at some point in my car's life. Is this hard to replace? Will it cost me much? I just want to get my car into near-flawless condition is all.

Really easy to replace but i've been looking for one and can't find it. Z1 doesn't have it, ZCentre doesn't have them, not even Ebay has them. Buy one used from craigslist that someones parting their car out. Most of the time its such a small part that they don't care. I didn't feel like putting a clock back in there.

Mine still worked last time I had it connected. I would gladly give it up for free if someone was willing to pay for shipping.

I doubt that a 150 will hurt anything, but it will probably affect the brightness of the clocks output...

Most likely make it brighter, but be careful, LED's are very sensitive and with extra voltage applied, it may burn them out and they will be broken for good.

it worked for about 4 seconds and turned off. Then i flicked it and it turned back on for like 3 seconds turned off. I opened it back up one of the solder connections broke so i fixed it put it all back together it went on after hittingit a few times then right off and wouldnt go back on. fml maybe i needed the 180 ohm? or maybe it was just my clocks time...

Sounds like it may have broken the solder connection due to excessive heat from excessive current. I would have gone with a 180 ohm resistor.

I have a 1990 300zx and my clock burnt out and i went to the dealer and it was over a $300 part and you can not replace the batterie. I looked on craigslist and someone around me was selling it and it was only $20. it was very simple to replace. there are two screws in the vents and a plastic pice that u can pull off with a flat head screw driver right above the head unit. after getting of that pice there are two more screws to take out.if you open the ash tray i beleave there is another screw there too. there might be another one in the arm rest. after all the screws are out the whole unit should pull out. there is a wire connecting the clock and a screw holding the colck in the unit. pull the wire out, it might be hard to pull it out, (i used a flat head screwdriver to help this might take some time. just have pacentants. after get new clock plug back in and put all back together..

im sure u can find a cheap made in china clock off ebay that would fit in that little slot. Ill look around and buy a few and let you guys know if anything fits nice. its a clock anyway, they dont take up that much energy so anything should work.
