Some time ago, I made this thread:

zerothread?id=337879

Basically, my battery died again. I just replaced it and I noticed the whurring sound under my hood again.

So I guess it's the ABS relay. I avoided replacing it last time because the problem fixed itself and I had no idea what an ABS relay was. But now that the issue is back, I'm determined to solve it for good.

I assume this is my relay box and the thing I've unplugged is the ABS relay. But when I reconnect the battery, the whurring sound still comes back. Any ideas?

EDIT: I plugged the thingy in my hand back in, hooked up the battery then cloncked it with a wrench and got the whurring sound to go away. I'm shocked that the resolution was so simple, but I guess that's just how it is. I guess there was just a loose conneciton somewhere.

Joe has an additional 7% off sale this month. Might as well get some filters (including M1 oil filters) and other upcoming maintenance bits.

I just called infinitipartsusa.com they want to know which actuator needs to be replaced. He said there's three different ones. If he says there's three, is he talking about the one yellow thingy and the two green thingys on the left side? I'm afraid I can't identify the parts. I also don't know how to tell which one to replace.

ABS relays are located inside black box attached to ABS pump not in master relay/ fuse cabinet.

Still haven't updated your profile!

You may have a failed actuator. In all your posts you do no mention brake hydraulic system maintenance nor present condition of fluid (color, freshness).

It's helpful to have your Year, Model, Options (like Active Suspension), mileage, and location in your profile. It really helps us to know when helping to answer questions.

I've had the same problem, but I replaced my abs relay with a brand new one, and it's still making the buzzing noise?

New question. Where do I purchase a new ABS relay? I went to AutoZone but they didn't have the part. Do I need to go to an auto parts store in import specialty?

It's several posts above, from Q45 tech.
passenger side near the firewall. small back box with no obvious markings
