I've spent the last week, (acouple hours a day), redoing the front end on my Z31 and I'd have to say this is a level 2-3 job. Mine was very easy(I did not replace my controlarm bushings( one of the harder jobs. But my strut mounting kits took alittle adjustment on the strut bolt hole( opened up with Dremel ) and the rest, including polys, is disassembly and reassembly... I cleaned or replaced any "Unsatifying" parts on mine, why not? But don't be intemmidated by this job, if you got a decent selection of tools you can do this job. I even repainted alot of parts, back to stock colors excepts control arm bushing mount covers, I painted them to match the car, . I ran out of black...LOL.

Took sway bar back off, and repainted over the black lightly with Eletric Red with gold flake. And Lightly went over the bushing mounts, which had 526 red paint on them, then did the same effect... its simple but much more attractive and since its undercarriage its doesn't have that tacky look.

I really want to post pics, but I can't find our camera charger!? I've been looking for two weeks, I like using it as I take things apart. Which I took the front end back apart, It didn't feel right. So, I took off both tie-rods and one is bent( not the factory bend) quite more than the other, so I'm waiting on new ones. They wont be here till Monday morning.

I must've left the charger somewhere. Maybe In-laws...hmmmmmm.

I'll get pics, I love showing off my work when it turns out well. I ran into usual problems, that most cars 23 years old without proper maintenance have. Lack of packing grease, dust and dirt build up, and other strange damage. I love it when people just start doing stupid crap and not know what they're doing... at least google it!

I went ahead and bought new rotors and inner and outer wheel bearings, waiting on ceramic brake pads, then bleeding brake fluid out and replacing fluid with DOT 5. All rotors and bearings all the way around, and new pads.Need two more tires after I get it toed properly, inside of tires were totally worn ( just after three weeks), tires are being rotated to back for a few last burnouts before new tires are installed. Presently running Bridgestone Potenzas ( factory rims), purchasing Yokohama Advans or Kumhos for the rear later next week. Studs on the rear have been moved up to M12x1.5s.

Have intentions of purchasing Nismo rims, 17" all around, after suspension gets to where I'm satisfied with it.

New inner and outer bearings not sliding on spindles well, ran out of daylight yesterday. But received my new tension rods from Nissan, painted them Electric red with gold flake to match stabilizer bar. Also bought primer, sand paper and 526 red to cure some interior rust spots, (like where the spare tire had been sitting.

Installed new tension bars after paint... took a little "effort" to get it all to line up. Hopefully rotors will go on today along with new ceramic brake pads. Then get it in for an alignement Monday, and two more tires. Rotating Bricgestones to the front, and putting Yokohama Advans on rear...for now.
