The real story on the integrated antenna is it will be available next month.

I still will like to install the integrated antenna... but for time being my solution is cost effective, works fine, I drove to Las Vegas & back and I had no issue with the reception with my modified version of the smallest rubber antenna...(so far).. simple, nice looking, cost effective solution.

Too bad that you had to go thru the pain ...but I am glad you had good repair shop to deal with.

Good Luck

This the dealer response: "The rear spoilers for the G37 convertible are still on backorder due to quality control issues."

I've heard the same thing. Although asking all the people that I know who might know yielded no concrete results, once I hear something good I will share it with y'all. Truth be told though I hear about this from the internet most of the time first, some companies don't get share more information with their employees. I personally wish there was way to learn more about certain systems, but the FSMs always turn up on the internet illegally.

There have been some intellectual property issues over the past few years and with the new fuel economy standards companies are going to guard their engineers hard work.

Hey I was curious about what exactly the pictures looked like so I fixed them for you. You are using image code from the wrong place. If you want to post from the Bucket click the red share button on the right side of the page, click get code, and share with message boards/forums. If you copy paste that that is all you have to do, no need for the [ img ] brackets.

The a[QUOTE=cmesurf]

Advantages of this small antenna are1) Don't need to remove when you get the car washed2) The antenna does not stick up from the car cover if you use cover your car with cover.3) simply cute/ does not stick out like sore thumb while you drive 4) cost is reasonable (parts and shipping)-just covers my cost5)fits nice and snug to shaft- no mod required.

I was building 2010 Infiniti G37 Convertible at Infiniti Web site just to see differences between 2009 vs 2010 and I noticed that integrated antenna spoiler is not even an option... is this become standard or Infiniti does not have this option at all... please verify and respond if you can.

Yeah, the main website makes no mention of the antenna-integrated spoiler anymore, particularly on the accessories page. Nothing. It's a bit odd that you can't get any information about it. Infiniti still uses many images of the convertible with the spoiler on its own website, yet you can't get it... it makes no sense.

I may be one of the lucky few that actually was able to get the rear deck spoiler.

at least you made a great mod to salvage the situation

My car that I took delivery of in September of 2009 was originally supposed to be equipped with the rear spoiler / integrated antennae and Infiniti was actually going to hold the car at port until the part was available. LOL! Seven months later, and many, many, many, many dealings with Infinity corporate and my dealership, the spoiler has finally come in. At this point I'm not sure I even want to have it installed.

Anyone want to make me an offer for a Black spoiler with integrated antennae (plus shipping)? :)

The spoiler is no longer for sale... but I do have a like-new OEM chrome deck lid / 3rd brake light available :)

I decided to have the rear spoiler installed. My dealership said that this was the only one they have received and the first one they've installed. I love it! I'm glad I didn't sell it! :-).

Yep I <3 that. Looks great man, totally worth the wait.

Now for the wait.

I asked my great parts guys about that and after a little digging he ran all the available numbers and it appears that Infiniti has been canceling orders... I have no answer as to why yet but I plan on emailing a few contacts.
