Replacement Key 2005 Quest

I don't want to pay $100 for a replacement key. E-bay blank keys (with Nissan logo on one side) available for $10.00. Local dealer said they charge $40 to program the key (plus $28.00 for a blank). The "fob?" to unlock the doors is another $30.00.What are the options?

Regardless you are going to have to take the key to Nissan to get the it programmed with your car, even with the proper teeth pattern on the arm, you wont be able to start the motor because the car's ID key sensor won't recognize it.
