You might have a hard time getting someone that you dont know to rent a luxury car to you for one weekend night knowing that it is Prom season. That said, someone that you DO know, that might be a different story. My older brother used a family friend's Lexus and I drove my uncle's Audi.Johniboi wrote:I know this isnt versa related but i need some help and opinion guys!...
Well my prom is coming up soon and im starting to get ready for everything and ive been thinking if i should go with the regular style-a limo OR rent something nice and sexayyy...lol. But im thinking what kinda car should i rent, cause most rentals are fugly. Does anybody have ideas?I was thinking of a corvette but i looked around and none of the rentals had a corvette
And besides, you might want something with a back seat ;0)BBISHOPPCM wrote:In all honesty, from one man to another, you might love the idea of renting a sports car (I know I would),

I talked about this with my wife, and we can't remember what we took to her prom - either my Mom's Chevette or my Dad's Mercury. We only remember the prom. So I'm with Matt - take the Versa and buy her something special with the money you save.matttail wrote:And while a limo will help you impress her, being a nice, sweet, caring guy you'll do better anyways.
Just make sure you can find the "stuff" afterward...kcourtad wrote:take the V turns into a bed !!!
Quit lying to him. 18 year old girls may SAY they like nice, but they really want a-holes. Women don't actually like "nice" men until they're about, oh, 20 or so. Being nice to a girl will just get you sent to the "friend zone".matttail wrote:And while a limo will help you impress her, being a nice, sweet, caring guy you'll do better anyways.
And did you learn your lesson from that?kcourtad wrote:take the V turns into a bed !!!
See? Kimber even learned from kcourtad.KimberKenobi wrote:Just make sure you can find the "stuff" afterward...
Ironic since that's what the TIIDA is and why this entry car is so nice... (cheaper to use the same mold than to create new interior for the US market where such a small car could never be seen as a 'luxury' model to compete price-wise)Johniboi wrote:I see your point..but the Versa doesnt really fit the "luxury" category to me
THATS REALLY TRUE. lol they love bungholes. WHY is that?Ever Victorious wrote:

HEY! we have had our bad seasons, BUT.. we got rid of billick and mcnair retired =]]Johniboi wrote:lol srry but ravens suck..GO COLTS!!
Yep, if it got wrecked they'd just tow it to your mothers house and dump it in the front yard because it would be hers, forever. that's unless you think you could avoid the man when he talks to you about insurance fraud when your mom makes a claim for that torn up front end. Here ya go, this'll get your testosterone going. http://www.google.com/imgres?i...&cd=2Ever Victorious wrote:Just so you know, the others that have spoken on the subject of renting are right. NO agency will rent you a sports car until you're 25. You can't even be put on as a co-renter, and you'd be in deep crap if you drove it anyway. (heck, in my state, you can't even rent an Aveo until you're 21, and most agencies still won't rent them to you until you're 25 anyway)
If you got pulled over, you'd be treated as a car thief.
If you got in an accident, you wouldn't be insured, and your mom would be responsible for paying for the WHOLE car out of pocket. Guess whose arse THAT would come out of. That's right, YOURS.
So ask yourself: Can you afford to pay for an entire brand new Corvette for just one night's fun? If the answer is no, bury the thought.
It's not worth risking. I'll agree with others that if the V isn't up to your standards for prom, rent a limo. Besides, that's more time to spend with your date and less time worrying about others on the road, or even potentially drunk, moronic classmates.
