OK.... removing the 95-96 bumper is really easy.. I do it within like 15 minutes... this is what you need to do:

1. remove the headlights... that should be pretty easy2. remove the center grill3. there are 2 bolt/screws uneder the center grill that you need to unbolt/unscrew.4. under the headlight there should be a bolt/screw that you need to remover (one on each side)5. you need to remove the fender lining in the tire well...5. if you don't want to remover the whole thing.. you can just loosen the side that is right next to the bumber... front part so you can slode you hand between the fender lining and the bumper...6. there is one bolt that will unscrew/bolt downwards close to the outer edge of the bumber... closest to the wheels (one on each side)EDIT: 7. there are these 2 little screws one on each side that are horizontal and you need to unscrew those as well so all together 6 bolts and 2 little screws... you can't miss them though ( i updated the picture)

and you are done... the bumper should just come right out... just unclip the lights...

I am attaching an image that should give you a little idea of there they are located and how to get at them:

(i'm going to try to locate a real picture of the bumper and point it out)

hah.. on an s13, that is a PITA.

there are like 14 bolts holdnig it on, and the ones at the top on the sides are HORRIBLE. you better have a few extensions, and some wrenches. It's a pain, it took us like 2 hours to get it off, and 4 hours to get it back on while trying to hide an intercooler behind it.

Try taking S13 fenders off, it's 10x worse than the bumper

HAHA, ok so it didnt really take a full day, just seemed like it cause i didnt work on it straight, kinda off and on. but it is a b**** to remove. the side bolts are the worst, the ones that connect up to the fenders. altogether there are around 22 bolts that hold it in place. have fun...

I know this is an old school thread but, can anyone illustrate the location of the 14 bolts on the s13?

I took mine off over the winter, so let me try to remember. I had to do it twice, so I got pretty quick at it. lol

You have two black screws in the fender well holding the two plastic bumper pieces on. then theres double stick tape and two snaps holding the piece on. Pull those plastic pieces off. Atleast I think you have to take these off, but maybe you don't need to. Pull the inner fenders out, so you can get at the bolts holding the bumper and fender together. Theres I think three bolts on top and two on the bottom holding the bumper to the fender. Then theres 4 bolts holding the top(by the radiator). There are also snap screws on the bottom by the radiator holding it in. There is a metal piece underneath the bottom of the front of the bumper that needs to be removed. I think I named all of the bolts and locations, but not positive. I hope this helps you. Pop the lights up when you try to pull the bumper off.

haha, I just tried to take mine off today (s13) to fix a little dent, I removed most of the bolts, and when I got to the side with the damage found that the bumper fender screws were folded to the point where I couldnt get to them. S***!, anyway, I ended up just putting everything back together for now and I will cut them off when I have a little more time (a couple days) and all the work back there that I have to do.

anyway, I must agree that it is a huge pain!
