im surprised this topic hasnt already be made into an article. I know it was a hassle when i pulled that part out the first time. except i wasnt able to take the gear shift box out prior to that. lol

Glad I could help out. It turned out ok with the change over to a new radio. Just glad the tabs on the top of the woodgrain were applied with some extra screws to hold in place. I am guessing older models might have not had that feature of the extra screws to hold the two tabs in place as you can see on one of the pictures but could be wrong. I cannot stress how important it was to use a small pry bar you can buy anywhere to snap the panel out. Using a flat head screwdriver could cause damage.
