So i know the remote window feature comes with the convience package, but is it possible to have the dealer install it now? Im also wondering if i can get the auto window up on the passanger window too. Or just have the convience package added now? lol

Can anyone chime in on this?

I'm sure the wires are there, its just the matter of installing the module. However, this will only goive you the auto down feature and not auto up. if you want that, you'll need to buy the window module from KP technologies who sells them for a pretty penny..not worth it IMHO. for that much I'll go walk up to my car and use the key to put the window up

Hold unlock for a few seconds on your key fob, and wait for the magic to happen.

Yeah I know about that.. That's what got me started on this cause I don't have the convience pkg.But living down here in FL in the summer rolling your windows down before you get in your car helps a lot to get rid of the heat.

I was looking into a few of their modules, they actually aren't too expensive for some of them. We'll see what happens with the dealer tho.

hmmm,....Just went on their website and the prices seem to be much lower than what I remembered. They were really expensive when they first came out and not a lot of people jumped on it because of it..

remember, for near the price of this module, you can get a full aftermarket alarm with pager remote and you can add this roll up and roll down feature to the alarm remote pretty easily!

Okay so I called the dealership today and they said it is possible but they won't install it and they wouldn't honor it under warranty if something went wrong, and they aren't even 100% sure it would work without rewiring. So I'd pretty much have to buy all the parts and either install them myself or have a third party do it.

Just to clarify... you mean actually getting in the car and turning it on to put the window up? Or you mean stick the key in the door a la VW/Audi and roll the windows up? Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. haha

Not sure how VW / Audi does it, but in our cars, you can put the key in the key slot by the handle, turn + hold to lock position, and the windows will go up.

The remote window feature has been bugging me for quite a while actually... what's the purpose of that feature?

To roll down your windows while you're away from the car! It's a pretty nice feature on a hot day when you're walking up, to release some of the heat that's trapped in the car. Just hold the unlock button on your remote, and your windows will come down.

Ahhh! I see, it never appear to me that way haha. Maybe that should have a remote air con starter too.
