remote start troubles

Im having trouble finding someone to install the remote start feature to my already installed viper alarm. Shops keep not wanting to do it so they over quote me, like 300$, or I have had a shop just tell me no, they can not do it in this car. I have not found a single place in this area that can do it, is this that hard to do myself?
