I added a Pioneer Avic-F700BT to my coupe back in December that I got for around $300 off of eBay following Cashback.

A couple of weeks ago I added a Alpine Type-R 10" 4ohms Subwoofer and a Alpine MRP-M500 Amplifier

Great job Colt! hey, if i wanted subs.. would i have to get a aftermarket cd player also? *not nec. touch, but a new head unit with a new amp/sub? Thought about it,b ut i like my system as it is (bose) but i always like the thump too.

You guys with the sub-- can it handle everything you throw at it? I listen to everything, but the stuff that hits the hardest is my prodigy CD or bass test mixes. Is it crisp or can it not handle the very low dbs?

Yeah it sounds preety good with the stock speakers. I got a high pass filter on so all the lows go to the subs. And it handles the lows really well. I wanted to get 2 Alpine 10"s, but I cant spend all my money on subs so i just got one and it sounds really nice.

Also no you wouldnt have to get a new headunit to get subs. I know on my alpine amp it came with speaker inputs so u just wire it to the speaker wires and it would work.
