Hmmm. Well you should search. Are you gonna auto-x it, drag, street, etc. Dont forget suspension and stuff too. Right now I have AEM short ram and 3" exhaust. Next im getting HS Headers and a new cat. converter. But after that Im gonna get some springs, struts, rims, Z32 brake upgrade, etc. Then Im gonna do a full service of the car to get it in tip top shape before i do anything else to it. Then Ill probably get new pulleys, cams, gears, and ecu, and other small things. Then Ill work on the drivetrain and stuff. Ill get new clutch/flywheel, driveshaft, shortshifter, etc. Then, hopefully next summer I will begin saving for my NSport turbo kit. Ill get new pistons, rods, and other internals before i get the turbo. And, God willing, Ill have the turbo done by the summer 2005. There are other little things Ill need to get along the way. Just an idea. Other things like radiators, bigger throttle bodies, fuel, and ignition all have to be in mind too. Its best to pick out all the things YOU want. Then research prices and set up the things you want into steps or phases. Then you can keep yourself accountable by seeing how youve come along with your schedule.

I am currently ahead of schedule ;)

if you're doing a serious build up and not just bolt ons, then buy another engine. KAs are a dime a dozen. this way you can rebuild with almost no downtime.

if your sticking to bolt ons (this includes cams) then i suggest doing all your exhaust work first. no point in getting more air in if it still struggles to get out.

Rather than post a new thread, this is somewhat related...got to do the timing chains for my DE soon, getting the rattle and I popped off my valve cover to find the the upper guide was already removed. Anyone do this recently and find a good source for the kit...I've seen courtesy's at around $400 and I've heard talk of the autozone, etc kits. Spoke with nissanwholesaleparts.com and after telling me for a while the the dual cams weren't in s13's, he said they did that before and it was more than courtesy's price.....any suggestion for cheapest option will be appreciated - really only want this engine to last for another 20k or so till I get some cash saved.
