Rear-View Mirror WITH compass

In 2014, the G37 Sedan became Infiniti Q50. G37 Coupe and Convertible became Infiniti Q60 under Infiniti's new naming structure - Here's the place to discuss the Q50 and Q60!

My '05 G35 had a compass. My Toyota van has a compass. My "new" '15 q60 did not have a compass. They come in very handy. I looked at getting an add-on compass but where to mount it and have it look good. The manual shows both a mirror with and without a compass so that's an option. eBay listed many rear-view mirrors with compass that would fit my car. I ordered and got one for 29 bucks. Installed it today and the compass works fine. HOWEVER, I'm having great difficulty in programming the Homelink to accept my garage door code. I've done it many times before without a problem, in fact I did it with the mirror in the "new" q60. I cleared the memory of old codes, I tried all 3 buttons to mate with the "clicker". No soap. I'll continue to try to get it to work but in the meantime I have the "clicker" on the visor and would rather have that arrangement AND a compass than a working Homelink and a add-on compass that'll look out of place and probably be very inconvenient.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Aftermarket stuff with Homelink is always a crapshoot. I'm kind of surprised your ride doesn't have a compass available on the cluster Info Display, Nissan had that even on a '13 Altima. But I just looked in the OM and your Q doesn't have it, go figure.

The same OE compass mirror that fits your Q60 also fits a bunch of other Nissans and Infinitis, the p/n should be 96321-CB01A. There are a ton of them used on the net, here's one on eBay for $30:

PS - The mirror for the sedan and the vert are different from the coupe, so you may have got the wrong one off eBay if you shopped by MMY.

Thanks! The ad did say it would fit my q60. The auto dimming works also so 2 of the 3 functions do work.

The functions are all pretty much all self-contained in the mirror, so generally all they need is power and ground. There are a few exceptions with extra connections for outside temperature, but those are mostly older. Yours has power and ground if everything but the Homelink works, so it's entirely possible you simply got a bad used part.
