My friend turbo maxima T3/T4 E-manage , FMU, o2 wide band, and he get rid of the rear oxygen sensor, he told me he took it off of cuz the Engine check light always on, and he said it is fine, I asked around , some people said it will have some problem like the ECU would throw out a CELS? Open loops , the ecu can't read from the o2 sensor and it will run rich.......? I have a custom straight out exhaust piping. so how many of you do not have or have the rear oxygen sensor with my setup . please give me some comment , suggestion , any input , would be good!Thanx

I do not use my rear o2 and I have ODB 2. I have put my ECU on the consult many times and the front o2 reads just fine. I say ditch it ! I dont think Nissan would make the ECU go rich just because the rear o2 is not there. the duty cycle should stay the same unless you change it with the e manage.

The back O2 sensor is just for the ECU to make sure the cat is working ok. So if you ditch I believe the ECU will send out a code, but it won't affect engine performance.

CELS = Check engine light('s) [there's only one. hm]WOT = Wide open throttle (foot down to da floor!)

The rear heated 02 seonsor is for on board diagnostics only, it has nothing to do with actually running the engine.
