I have been toying with the idea of putting disc brakes on the rear of my V. I searched old threads and didn't find any others on this. Is there a kit to make this conversion? Is this really worth it? I have always been told/thought that disc brakes work better (and look better) than drums. Has anyone else made this mod? Thanks for any and all advice...

Are you going for look or performance? For look, i would just paint them. For performance, i would try to find some more agressive pads. Unless youre planning on racing with the Versa, dont bother with a big brake kit.

Definately not racing, I would say mostly look, but performance is always a consideration. If there is no kit, then I will just paint them. Don't want to void any warrantee try to rig something together.

Another Q - I have seen the caliper covers, that come in various colors. Are these worth it, or should I just paint them?

Just paint the calipers. Not sure of these 'covers' you speak of, but not sure why you may want to trap in heat on them.

If you are going all out, you would take the caliper off and mask it off correctly, otherwise just mask it off while on the car.

These are the caliper covers

He claims they are universal, and that you can have whatever text you want put onto them (i.e. - VERSA)...

..never thought of trapping heat in, good point... Painting seems like the best options, thanks for the input....

Those look to be for only Bembo calipers. And yeah, I would say a bad idea.
