Welcome to NICO!

Can you clarify? Did you install new pads? If so, then you have to compress the piston. Unlike the front where you can use a C-Clamp, for the rear, you need an adapter or pliers to turn the piston in (screw it in). DO NOT USE C-CLAMP OR YOU'LL BREAK IT! The adapter is called Disc Brake Piston Tool. It looks like a cube with different sets of adapters. I used the same tool in my brother's 99 Passat brakes. I bought it long time ago from Autozone for @ $10. Refer to the link below for more info, starting on BR-16.

The tool should have a square hole opening to put your male ratchet opening in
If you are looking at the side which will touch the caliper it will look like 4 raised dots
on it to catch onto the rear caliper gear

You might need help for someone to hold the caliper while you turn it
or turn the caliper a certain way to catch and hold it on the car

Be sure to take off the brake fluid cap when you do this

You will have to turn it down pretty far and when you put the pads on

Look for the dot on the back of the brake pad and make sure it goes into the notch of
the caliper gear so they are in well :chuckle:

I did it with a pair of needle nose pliers. It was hard but once i got in to it it worked ok.
