My engine came out of an automatic car and I converted it to a maunual using the clutch and flywheel from a RWD CA18de that I bought as a parts engine with long term plans of building an NA engine for my 510...Anyway the clutch slips a lot, so I changed my disk out with the one off my KA, and it still slips, so I went to throw a heavy duty KA pressure plate in today and it doesn't fit. I read multiple threads about KA clutches fitting but the holes dont line up at all. At this point I dont have any locator pins in the flywheel and it won't bolt up no matter how I clock it.

So I assume the NA flywheel is different, can anyone confirm this? At this point I am getting sick of pulling my transmission so I would love any adivice from you guys.

to have a Ka pressure plate on the Ca18 flywheel you need to cut one of the aligment pin. That what i did.. maybe the ca18de RWD clutch is not the same as the ca18det but i doubt it

I scored a new flywheel, three puck d!ck and PP with my spare transmission so I am pretty stoked.

anyways, is your new clutch made for ca? if not, does it still work?

LOL gotta love humorus typos... Haven't been able to install the new clutch my dad is using the garage to swap engines his fairlady.
