I did the 248/232 cam swap last week. Absolutely funin love it. Bes t thing for my motor so far.I have read this how to zerothread?id=199832

I want to try it but I am a bit confused on how to do it.

When I installed the exhaust cam on the intake side i rotated it 4 teeth counter clockwise. If I take another cam gear I have, redrill it using the above links method for 2.5 degrees advance, is this what I should do?

Get to top dead center.Mark a spot on gear and chain so that I know how to align when putting the gear back on.(this is the confusing part) After I drill the hole for 2.5 advance, align the cam pin to the hole I drilled and put the cam gear on using the same placement as when it came off? (the marks i put on the chain and gear)

The reason I ask is because if I look at the template provided for drilling the cam, it appears to me that I would have to rotate my intake cam clockwise about 1.5 teeth in order to make it fit. That means that the 4 tooth method would be 1.5 teeth off to begin with. I know the 4 tooth method works well. So what am i missing?

Thanks.
