So, I was cruising down the road and realized I was blowing white smoke, so I turned the car off and opened the hood and there was what seemed to be oil that came out of my breather on my valve covers. My idle sounds a little off and when I put my finger over the pcv it seems it's barley pushing out any air. Is this normal? When I get into boost it sprays oil everywhere. I've been looking around and I'm seeing that it's either the pcv valve or its rings and or pistons. I still haven't gotten to a compression test.

You're on the right track; do a compression test. That'll tell you right there if it's rings/ringlands. My KA still ran with cracked ringlands... but extremely poorly.

Check your PCV for blockages too. If your compression comes back good/decent it could be that as well. Should be pulling a vacuum on your PCV at idle.
