So I recently became the owner of a 94 Skyline. Shortly after, I noticed a little bit of oil underneath the car. Topped off the oil just to make sure, then checked the oil when I got home. About a 20 mile drive. It was almost bone-dry. Obviously that's a pretty serious leak.

Enough so that it makes it hard to tell exactly where it came from with the mess it made. It seems to be coming from the front of the engine. I'm new to the rb25, so does the engine have any typical leak spots from the front of the engine? I'm leaning towards front main seal, but it seems like it might be just above that.

What a would like to do, but I'm not sure if it's okay. Is remove the upper timing cover. Put the cam angle sensor back on. And run the car as is to watch for any leaks. This way I can wash it and then look for where it comes from without driving it.

Is this possible? Or will it cause an issue with the cam angle sensor?
