Oh its a hacked mess. Had to cut the rear of the headlight buckets out, and I bored holes in the lower support for bushings for radiator to sit in. If I had to do it again id wait until everything is in, then order a rad the size needed to fit. I will end up with a massively hacked hood too, but I have some ideas about how to do it that have me kinda excited lol.

The radiator is a replacement 2 row made for the TT 300zx. It was like $130 on ebay. I pried it up a bit so you can see. The bushing has a 3/8" id sleeve and a 3/4" o.d. bushing. So I hammered the sleeve onto the post on the bottom of the rad (10mm, very tight fit) then used a 3/4" hole saw to make the hole for the bushing in The lower support.

Image

For the top im just going to bolt these brackets it came with to the upper support. Once I get it driving I will build new headlight buckets from 16ga sheetmetal at my shop.

If anyone wants to know what the bushing is its a Dyco D88 made for a Peterbilt exhaust hanger I think? Lol

I was planning on welding up a drop vent hood, forgot these were aluminum

Guess I will have to live with the rivets for now. I have a good TIG welding buddy maybe i will have him weld some aluminum corner pieces in there? We'll see. For now im just trying to get it road ready for a drag race here on the 20th.

Decided to address the "overbite" look on my car cuz it had no front chin spoiler. Ive been planning this since I got the car, and im super stoked how its working out. The "lip" is the bottom portion of a 2000ish? Mustang GT, and I think it looked too damn close to a 300zx lip, to not give it a shot. Also the top was damaged so the bumper was free, just cut off the bottom

Image

Only one half done. I had to cut approx 4" out of it. Along with about 2" at each side of the wheel wells.

Heres where im sure I will start some controversy. I saw this bumper and thought "well hell, that looks just like a stillen/TT front bumper" BUT......I had to cut the grills outta the vents to clear the B.O.V. and recirculation hose for the RB25DET factory crap I was using. Oh well. Im still tickled at how it turned out.

A whole bunch more bondo, and some paint, and she will be ready for some more thrashing and more bondo and paint! Lol

You can see the line that runs along the bumper for no reason lol, I used that and masked it off for where to cut.

Im completely happy with how this turned out. I set out to prove my friends that I could build something cheaper than a LS ANYTHING. And if you bought everything, hell even if you BUILT everything, no, you couldn't compete for what I have into this.
