I have a RB20DET in an S13 hatch, so far its been issue after issue with this car.
I dont know a whole lot about this car or the motor in it, so Im turning to ya'll for help.

The issue:
Anything thing past about 1/4 throttle the car breaks up, spits, sputters and pops.
The Car is running wayy to rich, when I pull the plugs out they're covered in fuel.
Is this a Timing issue, Air/fuel, or something wrong in the ignition system?

Im on a stock turbo, stock injectors, and a stock ECU with no tune.
the car has a FMIC, 3in cat back, and a TRE 255 FP.

I'm Just having a hard time trouble shooting this issue, and Im a honda guy, so im in a whole new boat with this car and no one near me knows a thing about these RB's.

the 255 is your issue... you need to add a FPR and gauge to adjust the FP back down to stock levels, i also have a RB20 stock with a FMIC and 3" when i had my 255 in i had the same issues around 2g as i would get on it .... i swapped out the 255 for a stock pump and the issue went away .. im ordering a FPR and gauge soon so i can reinstall my 255 so i can get tuned

No, you don't need an aftermarket FPR to run a 255lph pump. The Skylines had bigger fuel pumps than the NA 240s; so it was designed to run more pressure.

I guess it's possible that your old stock regulator went out, but you should just replace it for $5 instead of upgrading it.

You might as well test your timing to make sure it's correct. If it only breaks up depending on the throttle input and not just at a certain RPM it could be your throttle position sensor. Do you know how to check the ecu for codes? It might point you in the right direction.
