Yeah, every ticket is dependant on a lot of conditions. These conditions will sometimes get you out of tickets, especially if there is heavy/no traffic, ect.

SWIFT_DRIFT wrote:this is what monk said he has in his trunk. that prolly weighs significantly more than a couple of tires like you got. i know that my small tool chest alone weighs over 75 lbs. i would never put that in my trunk.

oh and how would i like to run from a cop with my drift tires on? well simple, thats a choice ur gonna have to make and a risk that you take being a drifter and doing it where cops can get you. I doubt the cops are going to let you change to your "try to outrun a cop" tires if they catch you by suprise and you are forced to bail. the tools, jacks, etc are mearly there as a worse case scenario. again, i would have them in my friends truck who is watching me and filming me, think of him as a mobile pit crew
The cops where you live don't let you change tires before they chase you? Around here they're pretty sporting.

The 'running from cops' part usually does not occur while drifting, it is associated with other activities of the night.

Excellent discussions on the physics of drifting!

For the original post request, the weights of the RBs, here's a complete chart of Nissan engine weights. Hope it helps :)

Can I see more on that discussion? Physics of drifting, vol 1! :D

GAS IS LIGHETER THAN WATER BY 15%, SO WEIGHT A GALLON OF WATER AND MINUS 15%. AS FOR GVW IT IS ONLY THE MAXIMUM RECOMMENDED WEIGHT BEFORE CHASSIS FLEX AND ABNORMAL TIRE WEAR. FOR WEIGHT REDUCTION CONVERT TO A SILVIA FRONT END W/ A CF HOOD, REMOVE A/C, MOVE BATTERY TO THE BACK, GUT INTERIOR AND YOU SHOULD HAVE A GREATLY REDUCED WEIGHT AND A NEAR 50/50 WEIGHT BASE. ON THE OTHER HAND PUT ON GTP FENDER FLARES IN THE REAR AND YOU'LL HAVE THE SAME EFFECTS BUT GREATER WEIGHT.

water weighs 8 pounds per gallon so following your formula gas weighs 3.8 pounds per gallon
