Had a fitting leak because a nut backed off. Stuck a lock washer on both, recharged the system, and fired it back up. As the compressor was used more, the squeaking went away and it blows icy cold. Almost too cold haha!

I will e-mail my AC contact list on Monday or Tuesday to update everyone. Anybody else that is interested must e-mail me at [email protected] for info.

The KA compressor blocks are different than the RB compressor blocks. At least they were on my S14 compressor. Since I have the finished fittings, I can easily compare them to the S14 blocks. I just can't remember off the top of my head what the differences were. Give me a few days to get back to you on that one.

Thanks

cuss Rb20det doesn't even have a ac bracket

and from what I read everyone here is talking about KA as Dohc model KA24DE

my compressor from Ka24e SOHC

Daryl, your kit is ready to ship out tomorrow.

After finally sitting down and trying to remember how my car is wired and after reviewing 300Plus' thread, I created a wiring diagram of the S14 & RB25 systems. Note that the Y/B, B/P, and P wiring connection is made under the passenger side footwell by the ECU.

Enjoy!

At the end of 300Plus' thread, someone else asked that and I looked up the AC pin on the ECU and it is the same #46 pink wire. So the answer is yes

Blue wire/Red stripe

The RB compressor has a different plug than the S14 harness, so you have to replace both. I just used a weathertight connector from a headlight ballast that crapped out on my gf's car. Soldered it and shrink wrapped it on both ends.

Awesome! I attempted to make a diagram last year and got frustrated and then distracted. This will be easier then reading a whole page

Good news! I hope the condenser line fits. If it is too short, let me know how short and I'll exchange you for a new line.

I also threw together an installation guide too so I'll e-mail that over to you and Paul. It probably has some holes in it, but it is complete for the most part.

How much just for the blue line? Do you have that set up instock? I've got everything bolted up and just need to splice that line or get a replacement.

not trying to bust up your thread darius, just wanted to post up some pics of how we modified my rb bracket to fit the ka compressor. having pics like these would have made it easier for me to understand what needed to be done instead of trial and error. hope these help someone

That looks awesome! Nice welds too btw. Have you installed the compressor yet? Is it located close enough to the stock location that you can reuse the S14 lines? I'm all for using USDM parts whenever possible on these damned motors. Post some pics up when you get it installed!!

The only thing that concerns me about the stock setup is that the low-pressure line runs underneath the exhaust manifold and between the engine and firewall. Plus, I don't have enough room to do run that line back there with the external head drain lines. So, I reroute the low-pressure line to pass underneath the oil pan and avoid all the heat exposure and conflict.

i am pretty sure you could reuse the stock line if you fought enough to get it into place, but i opted to have a the local a/c shop just make me new high side lines. i ran the stock lines from the core to the firewall but then had them made to go from the core to the compressor and from the compressor to the firewall. I'll get pics for ya but i actually took a que from you and had the lines ran just like urs. even took the pics u posted in so that there'd be no confusion! LOL

I just have a rubber hose going from the compressor to firewall, then bending at about the height of the brake master cylinder. i still have the stock turbo heat shield, and even being rubber, its hasnt been a problem. now with no shield, you would need something to block it. probably just some aluminum on adhesive, wrapped around the hose.

First, the bad news. It has been brought to my attention that the Zenki has entirely different AC fittings than the Kouki. Brilliant move Nissan. I am trying to find some zenki AC lines to borrow so I can get measurements and have hose ends and adapter fittings made up. If anybody has these, I will pay for shipping and only have to borrow them for a week or so. Please e-mail me.

Second, the good news. From a phone conversation with a buddy of mine, it sounds like the S13 has similar firewall fittings to the Kouki. I need to confirm that the hose end I have will fit properly, but the slight possibility is out there for you S13 guys to get AC running in your RB-swapped 240s.

Thanks for your help Evan! My goal is to get all of this figured out for all S13s and S14s before next summer.

Do you got any updates on the rb25 s13 a/c yet? I'm just waiting for something to happen. I'm going through south Alabama hot weather in Dec. Crazy huh?

Had to get more hose ends made because the zenki is different from kouki. I am hoping the s13 is the same as either so I don't have to recreate the wheel.

The other issue is that I don't have an s13 to test it on locally.

Yep...sorta. I got ahold of some new hose ends for the Zenki, but the shop I use for the adapter fittings is being ghey and jacked up their setup fees on the CNC mill. So far, I have the S14 kouki completely covered, but for the S14 zenki the only thing I don't have is the condenser adapter fitting. It is still on my to-do list, but people aren't knocking down my door for this stuff so I don't have any motivation to spend the time and money necessary to finish the zenki kit.

And I still have not tested any of my stuff on the S13 and am hoping that at least some of the S14 fittings and hose ends will be interchangeable.

I thought I sent you all the lines I had for my A/C setup so there should have been zenki condensor fittings in there. Thanks for storing that stuff btw! lmao

hahahaha I am even storing the box that you sent that stuff to me in too! I had the shop measure all that stuff up but never got the solidworks files completed.

I can take a hint. I'll get back on this :bowrofl:
