It's okay, I'm not in a rush.
I got finals coming up, then summer session a week after.
I'll keep looking around local shops!

I'm pleased!
ahhh. i think ill just machine it off. easier and it will be even across all the lettersRazi wrote:I couldn't find any rough sandpaper so I used the blunt tip of the retractable knife to scrape some of the paint off.
That kind of knife.
Then I used some 600 grit sandpaper wrapped around a small wooden block to clean it up.
Razi wrote:It isn't all that hard really.
If you can get it machined for cheap, that's a good option.

I also need to find new clips that hold the spark plug wires, I broke them during my manifold install. :P
at pick a part/ecology sometimes ill spot one or two still attatched to the motors. i never even thought to grab em. LOL and every time i come across an in-tact MAF plug i take them. i swear ive got like 10 KADE maf plugs with 6'' or more of wiring. i clipped enough and extended mine and tucked it out of sight.Razi wrote:Fo sho!
Thanks!
I know that some STis came with squirters for their intercoolers to prevent heatsoak, and I think Dai Yoshihara in Formula D has some for his radiator too.240TKE128 wrote:That's really cool, i can honestly say ive never heard of doing spraying water on the radiator before, but ive never really dealt much with the cooling aspect. Definitely cant wait to see more.
Thanks!Nashville91s13 wrote:Clean coupe man. Are those 350z seats?
Took you forever and a day to get this idea into motion. GJRazi wrote:Setup a radiator spray yesterday!
Home Depot mister nozzles + OEM windshield washer pump + OEM hatckback washer switch.
I got this idea after I saw that S13 hatchbacks had a rear windshield washer, and they have two pumps at the washer reservoir, like this:
The coupe has the spot for the second pump, but isn't drilled for one.
They also have a button for the rear wiper and washer under the right aircon vent:
So I took an extra pump + harness out from the junkyard, my dad drilled the tank for the extra pump and setup the nozzles.
I found a rear washer switch and wired it all up, and it all works!
I'll see tomorrow how well it cools, it's supposed to be 94 degrees tomorrow.
Also, you could easily set this up to spray your intercooler too!
Also, my dad also cut up a new rear deck out of wood, since my old one disintegrates every time you look at it.
The rear vent things, which I don't know the purpose of, and the rear speaker covers, both crumbled as I tried to remove them.
We decided not to put in vents, and I'll look for some OEM looking speaker covers at my local audio store.
I covered it in suede, but those pictures will come later.
