I have a rattling sound on my 2000 I-30 whenever I accelerate. I think someone mentioned that they had the same issue and that it was probably a loose heat shield. I looked underneath the car and did not see anything that was loose, though I may have missed something. Where exactly is the heat shield located at? And if it's not the heat shield, what are some other possibilities?

Thanks in advance,Jeremy

There are heat shields located on the y-pipe (around both pre cats) as well as on the main cat.

i have the same prob on my 95 max and i can't find it. i don't think it's the heat shields. i got headers installed a few months ago and all of my heat shields are gone; still have that ANNOYING rattle.
