My front windows rattle like crazy in my 2001 QX4 when they're all the way up. Alegedly Infiniti service told the original owners that the Infiniti branded lexan hood shield disturbed the air flow just right to create this issue and that if it was removed the problem would go away. Anybody have this type of experience? I just purchased this SUV and thought I'd check with you all before I started ****ing around with it. If it really is air disturbance, is there a top quality lexan window visor brand that you would recommend for or against? Thanks, Nitro

Are you talking about the window guards for the passenger and driver side windows? If so, do not buy those cheap window deflectors that you have to stick to the paint. I bought weathertech window deflectors that you have to stick inside the window seams. This gives your windows a more classy look, and fits the window shape. It also reduces wind noise when on the highway or speeds above 50. I love them. I hate the look of the ones you stick outside the window above the trim. :puke

oops, just got what you were talking about. Do you have a hood deflector on you truck? If so, then that might be the problem. I really hated the bug deflector thing on my truck. I used make noise and when the wind was really bad, it use to make my hood move up and down a little. After going through two of those hood deflectors, I decided to clear bra the front of my hood and remove the bug deflector. The truck look better with out it anyway.

I havn't isolated exactly how the front driver and passenger windows viabrate so heavily, but it definitely is the windows rattling. I was told by the previous owner that they had had it in to the Infiniti dealership several times for this issue. the alleged conclusion was that the viabration wouldn't happen when the Infiniti labeled bug deflector was removed. THANK YOU for responding about the Weather Tech brand item over the two sided sticky tape units. That's exactly the good quality info of what I was after! Much appreciated, Nitro

I also have a window problem. I'm not sure if we are talking about the same issue, but i have a QX4 2001 also, and i posted a problem with my windows after yours, not seeing yours. You should read it, NISTECH gives some great info. and apparently i have just been told by my dealer that there is really nothing that they can do about it, it's bad design...that's a lot of money for bad design if you ask me...I hope you read this, because i am trying to get as much input as possible and find out what dealerships have done about it...thanks

well...i just took my QX4 to a different dealership. They knew the problem and fixed it!! immediately. They replaced the regulators, or at least that's what they told me they did, and the windows are back to perfect. I'm happy with the results.

just wanted to clarify that this seems to be the fix IF we are having the same problem. It used to sound like something metal was tapping against the windows inside the door panel...mine only made the noise when they were anywhere in between all the way up & all the way down. but did not make the noise when all up or all down...
