Has anyone else heard of or used this carnuba wax made by BAF Industries?

I heard about it from a friend of a friend who swore by it and I've never used anything else since. This stuff is awesome and I don't think you can buy it in regular stores like AutoZone. I buy it directly from the manufacturer in Florence, KY but I think they have plants in TN and MI also. It's like a carnuba wax that goes on clear and is incredibly easy to wipe on and off and you don't have to worry about getting it in cracks and leaving a white residue behind emblems and where body lines meet etc.

Everyone I've ever shown it too has loved it so I thought I would share on here.

That's a great question. Since I buy it directly from the manufacturer I was wondering if there was anyone on here that has seen it before or bought it from a store.

I have never seen that in a store. Should check their website or call and ask who they distribute to. I might look them up when I run out of my current wax I like the fact that it's clear like you mentioned I hate having to always go around the car removing wax in cracks etc.

Here is the number to the place where I buy it. You might be able to call them and have them mail it to you.

Yeah, $18/can isn't so rare.

I have a jar of Zymol Concours in my fridge right now..... $175/jar

I have used some Zymol Vintage which is $1500/jar..... lifetime refill though. My friend owns a detail shop and pretty much only does expensive vehicles. A bunch of us pitched in on the Vintage to share.

Looks like they have since renamed it to Atlantique Glaze and lowered the price a bit.

Wow, Now that is a rare wax. I wonder why you need to apply it with your hand? It seems like they would at least give you an applicator pad for almost $200

Zymol is probrably one of the most expensive (and most difficult to apply) waxes out there. Other uber waxes that come to mind would be Wolfgang, Pinnacle, and Dodo Juice

I use NXT 2.0 and love it. I wonder if there's any off the shelf wax that can beat NXT 2.0.

I bought a bottle of Zymol at Wal-Mart a while ago and wasn't impressed. It must be different than the stuff that is $175.

+1, that stuff leaves this dusty residue that is a pain to get off.

You forgot Swissvaxhttp://www.swissvax.com/

It's the wax that one guy uses who waxes all those million dollar cars. I forget his name, but he was featured on 5th gear.http://www.detailersdomain.com...D=230$2500.00 isn't too bad for custom wax.

i'm sorry guys, when it comes to detailing, i just dont turst a company that sells there stuff with anything BUT the finished car. i.e a "hot" chic standing infront of it, or sitting on it, ....etc.if you wanna show me how good a wax or cleaner is, show me the car. NOT the chic.

Try P21S wax it blows the doors off the others easy to use, great shine, no white powdering and easy on easy off.

Check out Zaino. Tried it on a Laser Red G35 that I had a while back and was pretty impressed. The downside is the prep and time that it takes to apply. You also have to mix a cure accelerator in with the polish otherwise it takes forever to haze.

Wax is wax. If you're paying over $10 a bottle, you might be a fool.

Thats the most ignorant thing I have heard today. I can understand that 8K is a little much for Zymol but compare Collinite, Finish kare 1000P to say Nu Finish. The durability in those waxes will kill Nu Finish.

When the surface is properly corrected (No swirls or other defects) you are correct that some waxes will look the same. But show me a $10 wax that has great water beading or sheeting ability, durability and shine, And i will delete this post.

How long should a good carnuba wax hold up a good level of water beading protection?

That's funny but I do agree that for the most part wax is all basically the same.
All waxes are organic, they work the same way and all have the same basic flaws, harden, yellow, dull, break down and have to be removed.
So in that sense I agree wax is wax.
Nu finish is not a wax it is a synthetic a polymer glaze. It is superior to wax in many ways longevity being the number one, it does not turn yellow or have to be removed.
Wax is outdated, in todays market there are much easier alternatives to keeping a shine on your car.

for the money and the time and effort involved the Klasse twins are tops.

im open to trying Wolfgang and Pinnacle some day but im in no hurry to spend the cash for what might be a subjective difference to what i have now

+1 for collinite 476S. I put that stuff on my car in October and water still beads. Definitely one of the most durable and longest lasting waxes out there. The only downside to it is how hard it is to remove when applying.
