I installed a new mast on my j30 and after power is shut off and antenna is completely down, motor still runs grinding on the mast. Any solutions?

Either it was installed wrong, or the teeth on the new strip of the mast are smaller than the stock ones, or your gearing in the motor is shot, or your limit switch in the motor is bad. Either way, you're probably much better with just getting a whole new antenna. You can pick up an aftermarket one relatively cheap, or just get a whip antenna and eliminate the power antenna altogether. Probably $100 for power antenna from metra, or $20 or less for a rubber whip antenna.

Even cheaper that that is to yank the antenna all the way up and then unplug the motor. Done.
