My 92Q45 overheated, radiator lost fluid. It,s cap is worn.Plan on replacing it.I would like to do a flush. How do you do it? Is there a spiget.Do you simply run a water hose into it?What is the method? If it turns out to be the water pump,is it a DIY? kevin

Radiator drain is under the battery. Block plugs are behind the headers on the left and right. Best to drain and refill several times with distilled water, then add the appropriate amount of antifreeze when it drains clear. Water pump isn't too tough, replace the thermostat too while you're there. Be sure to clean the sludge out of the overflow bottle behind the battery too.

How loose was that cap? Was it leaking before it overheated? It sounds like a water pump to me.

Better idea: Pull the radiator, take to a local rad shop and have it cored. That'll return it to almost "as new" cleanliness, and you can get it done for around $60 (maybe less in the winter).
