Rack & Pinion steering Boots

Found a tear in one of my R&P boots,on my 97 J30, so I plan to change them both out. Questions; are these boots only made by Infinity or will universal boots work? Also, how difficult is it to seperate the tie rods? Many thanks.

The prices for the Infiniti boots are very reasonable. Do a search on steering boots for info on separating the tie-rods.

Easy repair, you will just need a front end alignment once you're done.

If you carefully count the threads on the tie rods, you won't have to realign.
