Might need some rear shocks.I was talking about loosing rear end traction when you stomp on it.naladude911 wrote:ya, when i go around curves the rear sways. Can u take pics of the mods KB?

I've been to 2 different drag strips where I actually got to run my car (VW Golf, not J30). One place it was about $30 and I got to put in about 20 passes and the other it was only like $15 and I probably did almost 30 passes. Great fun!driverdriver wrote:Please do all "racing" on private tracks and not public roads. One of the ones I went to was 3 hours away and the other one was about 1 hour.naladude911 wrote:nice, nearest strip is 1 hour away . Thats what i meant, when i put in speed in the middle of the turn, i loose traction
i will definately dyno as soon as i get a chance...we just recently found out were expecting so its put everything else on hold including my J....dont worry though ill get around to it...i drove a friends J earlier last week and in comparison to mine it was significantly slower...now by no means will i be as someone else put it speed racer...but hey its something different and fun....oh and NALA i cant take pics of the mods as they are already installed however i did take pics during the install...im not sure what they would be under...try searching Jim Wolf cams j30 in the search box...theres a pic with the new cams and the injectors and the entire upper plenum off...gr8scott72 wrote:

I think you're being a little optimistic.
Put her on a dyno and lets see!
I definately agree. My kids, once they are old enough to drive will definately be starting out with an auto fwd. If they drive for a year and can prove to me they can handle the car they have. Then I'd conisder letting them drive something rwd or manual. Especially if they are on my insurance. lolyodawill2000 wrote:I truly hope we don't read about you wrapping around a tree the first time you break the rear end loose. No way I would have let either one of mys sons start out in a J.Rear wheel drive can be dangerous if your not familiar and know how to deal with it.Especially VLSD.
first time I knew a QX4 was offered in FWD...must be a custom one off because they never left the factory that way. They were either RWD (base) or 3 mode AWDnaladude911 wrote:Whats so bad about RWD as ur first car? When I go around corners, it feels better then in my moms FWD QX4.
wow i didnt know gas was that expensive up in new york...down here $40 will almost fill me upnaladude911 wrote:sory my bad, its RWD. Gas sucks with the J so much, $40 for 1/2 tank
I agree with that. As an ex-street racer, I can tell you that contact with the cops is no fun.driverdriver wrote:Please do all "racing" on private tracks and not public roads. 19 gallon tank filled for $40? I don't think so.kbflip02 wrote:wow i didnt know gas was that expensive up in new york...down here $40 will almost fill me up
