Im new to the whole truck thing. I want to get an automatic 4x4 90's model nissan pickup(which seem to be rare). All I seem to find is manual 4x4's or automatic non-4x4's. So the question is.... Can I turn an automatic non-4x4 truck into an automatic 4x4? Or should I buy a manual 4x4 and do a transmission swap. Or is any of this even possible??? *Please no f*** doin the whole "roast the noob thing"* Thanx in advance for all mature anwers.

I guess it all depends on where you are because autos seem to be more common up here than sticks. I seem to see more auto V6s than auto 4cyls though. Keep looking, one is bound to show up eventually, and if you are in no hurry all the better.

Well I have two 2 door cars that are manuals already and my girlfriend just started driving. So I want her to be able to drive the truck. I would just teach her to drive one of my cars but I want her to get the hang of just drivin period first. lol. So to try to get her to drive a manual when she is still scared to drive an auto is too much for right now. Besides the truck would give me a break from shifting gears.
