You can put a 92 head on a 95 block, Now is the motor in 92 or a 95 car and are they both dohc? reason i ask is because depending on what car u have you will need to use the distributor from that car year.

ok, then your gona have to use a S14 disrtributor, intake manifold and exhaust manifold, and go with a 92 head gasket, then you'll be fine, dats a set up i currently have on my S14 right now, 93 head with a 248 exhaust cam and a 232 intake cam and it works great.

my car is running fine, not smokin at all and vise versa with a buddy of mine dat did a 95 head on his 93 240. well is your buddy's car smokin a white smoke or a bluish color smoke? if its minor white smoke den that should be normal considering dat its a bit cold out, and if its alot of white smoke then he may have a headgasket problem. Now if its blue smoke then he has an oil problem, possible causes could be worn rings, valve guides, bad pcv valve,or even a blown headgasket. Also check oil if its milky.

well if its white smoke then here are possible causes for it smokin white: blown head gasket or cracked head, now another one would be a leaking intake manifold gasket because on the KA's the intake manifold has a coolant passage. The reason for white smoke is that you have water/coolant burning in your combustion chamber. Well hope this helps. With both of those set ups my S14 and my buddy's S13 never did have any smoke issues so i guess your buddy's car has problems and that its not the setups fault.
