Not sure if I'm ready for these small mods, depending on how difficult they are in terms of access:

1. 02 QX4 has time delayed dome light dimming, but only with the driver's door that has a three wire switch. The other three door switches have two wires only. Wonder if it's relatively easy to add the third wire from the driver's door switch to all the other three switch locations, and buy the three wire switch, to make all doors with delayed dimming? Lexus have all doors delayed dimming therefore Infiniti feels cheap on that.

2. How easy is to pop the large plastic piece that covers the bottom half of the back gate, to access the backup light wires? Do I just apply pop it straight out? I'd like to install a backup warning device.

Thanks

Now I can answer my own questions:

1. Bought one driver side door switch for the rear left door. Took off trim pieces along the rear left side door frame and squeased two wires inside, running from the front driver side door switch to the back. The existing one wire is also used for one of the three wires. So now two door switches are in parallel. It worked. Both have 30 second delayed dim light.

Will buy one more three-wire switch to finish the other two doors. The front passenger side switch is already three-wire type like the driver side, but not connected like the driver side, don't know why.

2. Easy to pop off the back gate trim piece, like most other trim pieces. Backup warning devices is installed and works OK.
