all this reading that im doing and no meantion of anyone ever using aluminum pipes. whats up with that?

aluminum is expensive and difficult to weld.

aluminum melts at 1100 degrees. that could be a problem at the header.

yes intercooling pipe. i mean not that expensive. i was looking on mcmaster.com and the have aluminum pipes. not too pricey in my opinion.

If you use aluminum piping for intercooler piping, as most do, you would be wise to join the pieces with silicone couplers. Welding aluminum is a difficult task.

why not just use mild steel, it is easy to weld and is fairly cheap.

yea when your doing a custom setup there are a lot of little things you have to weld onto the ic piping, and steel pipes are just easier and cheaper, and also easier to get.
