Hi all...I have a buddy who just bought an '05 coupe and has a question about the pop charger. In installing the charger, did you guys have to remove the bumper or do anything else funky to get the piece installed? I suppose his only reference is with my Ingen intake, and i had to take the bumper off to get the unit installed -- even in short ram configuration (which is what i went with). Why he couldn't ask you himself I'll never know...

Yup, it will take you max 30min...and 20 of that is getting the stupid foam on the heat shield.

Make sure you get the Z-tube while you're messing around in there...and maybe even the spacer...

Well, some will say it's easy,I wouldn't,atleast my install wasn't. However you don't have to take the bumper off at all. The problem I had was the damn heatshield,it kept getting stuck on the frame, and wouldn't sit right. It still doesn't sit right,so I'm going to make my own tube from the stock air intake funel that's over the radiator, going into the heatshield,it's not lined up perfectly for me,but it's getting 90% of the air to it. So I had to bend my shield a little to get it to sit in there properly, also make sure he covers the ac line with some of the wire loom covers or something to protect it from any rubbing that may occur due to the heatshield. Otherwise the biggest time consuming thing will be getting that damn foam on like they said.
