Question about the TSB

Does anyone know if on the TSB for the side passenger airbag light do they need to access the battery??? or do they just do it through the port??

Not sure if they turn off the battery but the dealer told me they basically replace the passenger seat-- and by seat I mean where your arse goes-- and not the entire thing.
