question about moonroof

I just got my Rogue last friday and I am a little concerned about the moonroof. If I want to fully open it, I have to press the button many times until its completely opened.With most moonroofs, all you have to do is press and hold to desired position. I am not sure if this is how the Rogue was designed or something is wrong with mine.

Does anyone else have this problem? Everytime I press it, it moves a little bit then i have to press it over and over again to get to the end. I can't just press and hold.

The moonroof is working fine on my rogue. It's not like the older Nissans where you have to hold the button down. Just press it and let go and the moonroof should open all the way. Same for closing. Maybe you're holding it down and that's why it's not opening all the way?

Sorry about your problem. Mine works fine. Opens and closes with just a touch.

This is how it's supposed to work.If you press the button on the side closest to you it should fully open with one touch, one touch on the opposite side of the button closes it fully.

If you press the button on the side away from you it should tilt, and pressing the button closest to you closes.

update: I took the Rogue back to the dealer and they said the motor needs to be programmed. They did it in about 15 minutes and all is well. One touch and it opens all the way and same for closing.
