My uncle has a 2006 Frontier with tire pressure sensors. The problem is that the tire light wants to come on even when all of the tires are inflated to 35psi. I have a Matco Determinator scanner which is made by OTC tools and I also have the tool that is used to test and reset the sensors. the problem is that when I hook up the scanner, there is no mention of the tire sensor system on it. The tool that I have for reprograming the sensors is made by KTI (K Tool International) It says that before I can test or reset the sensors, I have to first enable the ID Registration function on the truck using a Consult II or equivalent scan tool which I have the equivelant. It just doesn't mention the tire pressure monitor on any of the menus on the scanner. I bought the scanner new back in september from Matco. The software version is 3.0. Does anybody else have this type of scanner? And if so, are you able to access the tire sensor section?

The sensors are very sensitive. I have them on my 06 Pathfinder as well. If you park next to a vehicle that has Tire Pressure Sensors on it as well it could set yours off. It should go away after time. As for your consult program, you got me there.

consult is the nissan scan tool used by dealershipsif your scanner pulls up bcm, go into that system that is the body controlmodule the controls the tpms system, you might be able to get at it from there, but i work at a dealership and only work with consult, im not familiar with your scan tool
