I'm looking for stock and basic mods (intake exhaust headers underdrive etc.) drag racing times. Anybody have them?

search bro, we have tons of threads about this, the average stock 24o 5spd will run low 16s to hi 15s, and the auto box wont hit any quicker than about 16.6 or slower

I rana 16.9. Bone stock 89 with 130k. I'm getting my rebuilt engine installed, so we will see what it runs after that, hopefully low 16's. These cars aren't made for the drag strip, they are made for the twisties.

I ran a 16.5 with a cone filter, muffler, removed pre-silencer, slipping clutch and an open diff :D that was at about 51k on my 93 KA-DE

i agree, however 15.5 is a quick KA, especially since no bolt ons were added, basically his exhaust mod had to take off about 1 sec off his e.t, he's just got a freak KA, and a good lil mod on it

whats up this is you factory freak here... haha. Yea now I have 2.25" from header back an justa a muffler, KN filter, an just new wires 7mm. An with the new wires I was able to go 100 in 3rd gear. I was only able to hit 90 befor. But I think your best mod for a 240 is exhaust. I used to have no power after 5500rpms now Ill pull on VTECs after 5500. An a LSD will help alot, I dont believe I have one but I get both wheels spinning, more left wheel dominant but still 2 wheels spinnin.

and thats probably the most important part of a drag race. Unless the opplosing car is a lot faster, if your 6oft times are considerably faster than your opponents, the race is pretty much yours. And D-Unit, you have a very interesting swap in your 24o, however if that VG is in your 24o, you should be running a lot faster than 15.o1 1/4s, or was there a problem with the motor?

I wish but no way!! The swap is in a Nickeldotdime AKA 510. It's not alive yet. The 15.014 is with my KA powered S13.

I found my time slip so might as well post.

My 240 (bad trans) ----- my friends Audi TT quattro ( 225 hp)street tires street tires

reation .717 --- --- .504

60 ft. 2.333 --- --- 1.985

1/8 mile 9.749 --- --- 9.657

1/8 mph 74.46 --- --- 70.75

1/4 mile 15.014 --- --- 15.385

1/4 mph 94.56 --- --- 85.87

So a good 60 ft. is not always the determinating factor of who wins. You could get smoked off the line and still catch up and win. Not always but, sometimes.
