NO, accually it ran a 15.08 STOCK in a 1/4th=!!!! now it runs a 15.69sec with my 4.60 gears...yes i know its slower! In a 8th mile I went from 10.42sec to 9.31sec.......Again, its not a drag car, the gears are for the road course!! The 240sx was not made for the drag strip, put the car on the road course and you will understand. My car wouldnt beat Mustang GT's and Camaro SS's on the drag strip, but ill walk all over them on the road course! Understand why I got 4.60's now?!

I just ran a 10.12@68mph with a 2.17 60ft. in the 1/8th tonight. My clutch is slipping bad though :( All I have is intake and exhaust. I'm sure the car will go 9.7's all day with a new clutch. Any suggestions on clutches people?? I'm thinking a Centerforce dual friction, I know plenty of people that have had good luck with those in other cars.

The car has 215/40/17 Yokohama Avids on it. I launch at around 3,500. My clutch is going though, it slipped off the line at the track and everytime I change gears. I raced a new Accord SC (240HP V6) that had aftermarket exhaust on my way home. I owned him through first, then I hit 2nd and the clutch started slipping. He pulled ahead a car length before it grabbed, so, I backed off and let my Brother in Law get beside him and blow his doors off with the Pro Charged '98 GT :) lol It was quite funny. Oh, I also saw a V6 Eclipse run at the track.....10.92, those things suck.

I need to take mine to a 1/4 mile track. By calculation, with my best of 10.12 with the clutch slipping like crazy, I should run a 15.79. I'm quite sure it could run 9.70 in the 1/8 if the clutch wasn't slipping, which is a 15.15 in the 1/4 mile. We'll see when I get my clutch in this week :) and IF I get my damn header that I bought from meangreen240!!!

i have a centerforce dual friction and I am very pleased with it. I have had it in for about a year and have never driven it nicely and it still holds like new. I would go for it. I would suggest an aftermarket flywheel as well. just my opinion though

Hehe, I own three, but only have run the Hardbody and Altima.

Hardbody: 17.03@79KA24E, 5-speed, 134k miles, Pacesetter header, 2.25" exhaust with Magnaflow muffler. This truck really needs a lsd or some slicks, best 60 has been 2.39.

Altima: 17.08@82KA24DE, Auto, 93k miles, no mods and with the fiance driving. It's a dog out of the hole.

I haven't had the 240 running long enough to see what it'll do (ice all over the track), but when things thaw out and I have it road ready I'll get some times.

i can vouch for the altima being slow off the line. Mine definitely was too. I ran a 16.7 at 83 with mine.

I finally installed my Nismo header and got a Centerforce dual friction clutch. Car feels much much better. My check engine light hasnt come on yet. I just put the second o2 sensor up on the transmission. It worked for my car, no codes!!

Well, I got to run the 240 this afternoon, the best I could manage was 16.02@84 mph with a 2.27 60'.

It was missing and I was running 2 year old gas. I think with a tune up, some good tires and good gas I'll be well into the 15s.

ran my 240 again! put down a better time than before...9.29sec in a 8th!! i was running against the 04 WRX STi!! I have to say its the fastest car off the line stock from the factory(i ever seen)!! i think he ran like a 1.4sec on the 60'. put down 8.4sec on the 8th. heck of a car and driver!

A 9.29, that's awsome knight!! What mods do you have?? The WRX STi is a hell of a car isn't it?? It would be a toss up between that and a new Cobra if I was going spend $30,000 on a new car. The new Cobra can go 9's in 1/4 on stock internals....it's already been done!! That's just killer, I would like to see an STi against a new Cobra, stock vs. stock, in the 1/4.

yeah, i read some magazines that compared the two...and the STi beat the cobra on everything, even the hot rod magazine admit the STi was faster and better all around. i talked to some of the people from the STi club in atlanta, by putting a pack of ice and laying it on the incooler for about 30minutes, the STi runs 12.8 stock!!!! ALsome!! On my 240, the mods are listed below...it runs a hell of a 1/8th, cause of my 4.60 gears. it helped the time almost a whole second.
