What I am talking about with 60 foot times are, If you run a good 60 foot, chances are, you're time will match.

and what are your mods. Stock KA's will never trap at almost 95 mph.

Well I failed to mention that. Cai/borla cat back / Jwt na tune stage 1 , pop charger , iridium plugs <-- 60 dollars added nothing( I had a crane Hi-6 at the time but it crapped out last week and stradded me in the middle of a six lane highway! Yanked it! I think It was holding me back). Other than that it is stock!

With all that up there all I could manage was a 15.8@87mph NA. I know my car is faster than that but I can't figure out whats wrong. I got a nice mid- range but the high end just falls flat (5900+rpms). Need suggestions.

Anyway I gave up! So how did I do it. The easy way. NITROUS!! And 15.0 is with my system cutting out at 2/3 track (to lean, need bigger injectors) in third gear , fourth is all motor!. If I could pop it all the way I probably could hit a 14.3@98mph. But I got to find out why I run so crappy NA first.:thinker

I can vouch for that, my car feels extremely restricted.

Alright went to the track tonite, it finally cooled down some so I was expecting some good times. But no1 could get good 60's at all. Not one car I talked to was even comin close to what they should be running. SR with drag radials only a 2.3, Supercharged civic 2.4, 11sec trans am 2.2(normally 1.6). But this is my best slip even though all my slips were 15.5's. But if it were possible to run good 60's I should easily be at a 15.1-15.2.R/T .54360' 2.398330 6.6511/8 10.074MPH 71.871000 13.0371/4 15.505MPH 90.47

1/4 mile times are good, but as you have stated, you coulda brought you're 60 foot down atleast .3, giving you a 15.2 run if everything else went as planned.

15.2s with an open exhaust and everything else stock (except for that whole back seat thing) thats damn quikc, i guess it just proves how restrictive exhuasts are in general, im cuttin mine off at the header!! MUAHAHAAHAHAH

that could be, or his engine is just extremely strong, which is more than likely the case.

I'm thinking my sohc is strong as well, fresh rebuild with only 175 miles on it so far. At 1k miles I'm switching to Mobil 1.

Kinda OT, but I can relate here. I've taken many Vettes (including 2 Z06's), a couple of T/A' and Z28's, and even one Viper in the 60' with my AWD Suby's amazing launch. By the END of the 1/4 mile, who's in front is a different story ;)

BTW the Viper matched my 1/4 trap speed when he had only gone 1000'!!!

I actually just ran tonight, my 60 foot time was bad because my clutch wasn't really grabbing.

60 ' 2.454330 - 6.9301/3 - 10.680mph - 65.381000 - 13.9411/4 - 16.720mph - 80.63

so yeah not that great, but considering my clutch wasn't grabbing out the gate its not so bad.

PSI in the tires was fresh from the auto-x course. So at about 32, I launched from my standard 2800 rpm clutch drop (hehehehe). The clutch blew out on that particular launch so I only got that run and the one before it that day. :(

:ylsuper Hello, all. I have a 93 ka that my friend and worked on for 2 yearsto get it tuned right. My ka, was rebuilt from bottom up instead of spending money on the form what I hear unreliable sr20, and to rebuild ka was actulaay cheaper. I took to morroso motorsports track in west palm in september of last year and ran 13.2, No nos, no turbo but it is supercharged with mods. My car looks stock no wing no body kit etc, but under the hood it is all go. I am all about performance, now that engine is finished I wiil start on outside in the spring, winter time where I am at now. This 240 is my daily driver to. The ka is an awesome motor it just needs to be woke up. Anyone agree.

1st, the SR20 is by no means 'unreliable' - It's as strong as any of the other beefy Nissan Motors, including the KA.

Show us pics of the supercharger setup... ;)

What kind (style) is it??? Roots??? Centrifugal???

I was unaware of any KA (at least in an S13/S14 chasis) to ever be supercharged.... Show pics.
