qtp cutout valve question

i'm planning on getting a cutout valve, but i dont know where the best place to install it to get more HP gain. i'm thinking right before the CAT? has anyone heard of these things?

Yes I have heard of them, and yes, install it just before the cat. You'll gain around 5-7HP.
